Kefos provides energy production companies a way to monetize off-grid excess or stranded energy as a fully flexible load consumer that can scale up or down in real time syncronization with load demand.
Thus, energy producers can supercharge their efficiency, maximize their revenue and optimize their operation without any cost or effort by them.
HOW WE DO IT
Kefos digital manages and maintains a fleet of bitcoin mining containers that can be modularized to fit most needs in terms of energy consumption. The containers are moved to the site of production, fully equipped with a power transformer and plugged directly into source of production and immediately starts consuming energy.
WHY WE DO IT
It is estimated that XX% of energy is lost in production in the world today because of inefficiencies in managing the perpetual fluctuations between production, demand, transport and distribution of the energy. As with any business, efficiency in production is an absolute key to a successful business and for energy production companies, this is no different. A key component of reducing inefficiencies in energy production is having flexible demand load in place to modulate demand in sync with changes in grid demand and fluctuations in production.
Today the world produces about 27.5 petawatt-hours per year, of which about 40% is low carbon and the rest is coal, gas and oil. In the looming threat of global warming there has been a global rush to move away from fossil fuels to a more sustainable green energy in the form of solar, wind, hydroelectric and geothermal, and even nuclear energy. This poses increased challenges in managing the unreliable production output of renewable energy sources against the demand for energy security in the world today. This forces renewable energy producers to over invest in their production facility to make sure they can meet demand surges and production intermittencies of renewable energy sources. This causes inefficiencies in the use of capital.
This inefficiency gap is what Kefos digital aims at closing.
